Relationships are opportunities for growth and exploration and yet can be the sources of some of our most painful hurts and losses. Therapy itself is a relationship and I aim to co-create a space where clients can understand past experiences and restore their capacity to build connection.
I provide both individual and relationship therapy to adult clients. I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, meaning I help clients distil and organize their emotional experience to reshape relationships with their selves and others. I additionally integrate person centered and existential therapeutic approaches to help clients make meaning of their choices and experiences. I have a fierce commitment to my client’s wellbeing and bring deep humility and nonjudgement to this work.
With previous experience in LGBTQ healthcare, I have a special appreciation for the intersections of marginalized identities with chronic and/or stigmatized health concerns. I enjoy working with creatives and rule breakers and appreciate integrating a client’s artistic practice into our work together. Therapy is hard work but can also be joyful and pleasurable; I will honor the tough moments and share in a good laugh when appropriate.
