I believe we heal in connection and community. Life can leave us dissatisfied, overwhelmed, and disconnected from ourselves and others. Painful feelings such as these can lead us to feel frustrated, lonely, and anxious. I want to help you feel seen and join you in creating the change you are looking for. I may challenge you, meet you with tough questions, and encourage you to sit with uncomfortable thoughts or feelings. Together we can unpack experiences and generate new insight to bring you closer to relationship satisfaction, feeling content in your day-to-day life, and a sense of self-understanding.
As a therapist, I take a relational, psychodynamic approach. I hope to meet you with warmth, authenticity, and collaboration—honoring the unique strengths, values, identities, and experiences you are bringing. I want therapy to be a co-created space that centers your needs and supports you in enacting the change you desire. We will work to help you connect with your emotions; challenge your thought patterns, behaviors, and ways of relating; and better understand patterns that no longer serve you with the goal of being more content and fulfilled.
My areas of clinical strength include depression, relationship concerns, identity-related concerns, trauma, emotional neglect, and grief and loss. I have particular interest in working with graduate students, early career professionals, and medical professionals. I desire to collaborate to increase your confidence in managing emotions and create longer-term change in the way you understand yourself and connect with others.
I view therapy as both an investment in oneself and a choice to enter into a new relationship with me, of which I know fit is incredibly important. If you resonated with anything I’ve shared or are interested in learning more, don’t hesitate to reach out.
