Starting therapy can be overwhelming and is often the first time you are talking to someone you don't know about private experiences and feelings. My priority is providing clients a safe, nonjudgmental space to be their most authentic selves. I strive to create this by helping explore difficult emotions, process negative thought patterns, identify and build on strengths, and stay most centered and balanced during life transitions and adjustments.
As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Illinois, I have extensive experience working with clients who struggle with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, eating disorders and low self-esteem. I have worked with clients with a broad range of backgrounds through private practice, residential treatment, and intensive outpatient programs in substance use and mental health. During our sessions, you can expect to be gently challenged and unconditionally supported.
I am passionate about social justice and working with marginalized populations. I welcome all folks of various gender identities and sexual orientations to reach out if you are interested in working with me. I am a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental therapist who hopes to help guide clients in removing their internal barriers in order to reach their goals.
