“Pleasure is the point. Feeling good is not frivolous, it is freedom.” - Adrienne Maree Brown

As a therapist, researcher, and pleasure activist I strive to create a safe, accessible environment for you to connect with and express your most authentic self. During sessions, your trust and safety are priorities for me. I practice from a relational and client-centered framework, understanding that you are the expert in your own experience. With my warm and direct approach, I seek to ask the right questions to help you make new connections and provide a fresh perspective. I have experience supporting clients through gender-identity development, Complex PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder, gender dysphoria, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, and grief and loss.

With my lived experience as a transgender woman, I bring a compassionate and affirming approach to my therapeutic practice. I am passionate about working with transgender/gender diverse, Autistic, and Disabled clients, and pride myself as a kink/BDSM, polyamory/ENM, and sex-worker allied therapist.

In my years researching the health inequities of the LGBTQ+ community, I heard countless stories of queer people surviving and thriving in the face of structural oppression. Now it is my honor and passion to accompany individuals on their unique therapeutic journeys, helping them to discover their inner-strength and resilience while fostering authenticity and empowerment. I am committed to creating a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. I look forward to working collaboratively with my clients on their paths towards growth and healing using both evidence-based therapies and frameworks rooted in Liberation psychology, Disability Activism, Queer Theory, and Black Feminist Philosophy.

Jess is also one of the co-leaders of the Trans Fem Group. More information on working with her as a part of that group can be found here: https://www.centerfocusedtherapy.com/therapy-groups
